What an incredible evening! We are absolutely thrilled to share that our 3rd annual West Island Chinese Community Spring Gala at Restaurant Imperial in Pointe-Claire was a massive success, complete with a sold-out, full house.
First and foremost, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended. It was beautiful to see so many friends from across our diverse, multicultural communities come together to celebrate friendship, strengthen our unity, and honor our heritage. The energy in the room was electric, and your presence made the night truly special.
A spectacular event is only as good as its programming, and we were treated to the absolute best:
- The Opening Act: A huge thank you to the Montreal Chan Lion Dance Club for kicking off the festivities with such a vibrant, powerful, and traditional opening.
- The Entertainment: We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Miss Chinese Montreal Queen, Louese Hu, and her mother, Linda Hu. Thank you to their amazing organization, Skafold Lar / Skafold Éducation, for their continued support. Their hard work in coordinating the breathtaking performances by the “Chinatown Girls” was incredibly creative and kept everyone on the edge of their seats!
We also want to send a big congratulations to all the lucky winners of our raffle draws, and a thanks for supporting our cause! Those exciting moments were made possible by the generosity of individuals and local businesses, with a special shoutout to Louese and Audrey for bringing in such wonderful gifts for the community. A special thanks to everyone who donated such generous prizes for the raffle.
The Heart of Our Community: Our Volunteers
We simply could not host these events without the dedication and tireless energy of our amazing volunteers. To the familiar faces who step up to help us time and time again, thank you. Whether you were greeting guests, helping coordinate the raffle, or managing the countless behind-the-scenes details, your hard work is what kept the evening running so smoothly. You are the true backbone of our organization, and we are deeply grateful for your continuous commitment to our community and our shared vision.
Most importantly, the true success of the night goes far beyond the amazing food and entertainment. Every ticket purchased, every raffle entered, and every cheer from the crowd brings us one monumental step closer to our ultimate goal. With your continued backing, the creation of the West Island Chinese Youth Cultural and Arts Community Center is becoming a reality.
Together, we are building a dedicated space that will serve as a vital resource and growth center for the local region. It will be a welcoming home for the next generation to learn, bridge friendships between cultures, and build connections that will help guide their futures.
Happy Asian Heritage Month! Thank you once again for your unwavering support and for believing in this vision. We can’t wait to share what’s next!
The event was so well-received by our guests, they shared photos and words of praise for Jimmy Chan for organizing the event on Facebook:
